SLUTWALK LA 2012 UPDATE: We are in the process of obtaining permits for our walk & rally, and are HOPING that permits for a Pershing Square location will go through. If anyone has any suggestions, please let us know.
As soon as permits go through we will be planning a general meeting for anyone and everyone that wants to be involved in planning/volunteering for the event. Diversity & varied opinions are a very central and important part of SWLA LA. This event is TBA.

I can post some videos of our speakers from last year! They range from survivors sharing their own experiences to commentary on rape culture and what slutwalk means to them. So what you talk about is really up to you. We do require that you send in a transcript of your speech so that we can decide if it will fit with our event.

Hello Anon!
SlutWalk LA’s tentative date is August 4th and we are still working on permits at this point in time. The permit process can be pretty long and drawn out so we completely apologize for not updating as much lately.
We are in contact with the city of Silverlake right now but until we get our permits set in stone, we don’t want to be definite about our date and location.
Anyway, keep the questions and suggestions coming. We need em’!
to everyone who came out to support us last night! Thanks to all the bands, vendors, volunteers, and venue, as well! We made a little over a thousand dollars which will greatly help with permit fees! Planning for SlutWalk LA 2012 will begin immediately so stay tuned for details!
